This is deeper than music
Built through recovery.
Driven by purpose.
Music With Purpose began with a personal journey of recovery—and the belief that expressing what we carry can become part of discovering who we are and what comes next.
CREATING MUSIC. INSPIRING HOPE. DISCOVERING PURPOSE.
Meet the founder
Austin Milby
“KAADENZE”
Independent artist. Producer. Recording engineer. Founder of a mission shaped by recovery.
Music With Purpose was born from more than a passion for music. As an artist and engineer, Austin knew that music could hold thoughts, difficult truths and emotions he did not always have the words to speak. Writing and recording gave those experiences another form.
In his own sobriety journey, Austin came to see recovery as more than leaving substance use behind. It meant rediscovering his identity, confronting who he had been, and finding hope in who he could become.
He built MWP to extend that opportunity to other people in recovery: a space to write, create, record, reflect, and recognize that their voice and their story still matter.
“When someone begins the journey of recovery, they are not just fighting to leave an old life behind. They are learning how to build a new one.”

What guides the work
A mission rooted in experience.
Every voice matters.
No musical experience is required. Every client has something worth exploring, whether or not they choose to share it publicly.
Creation builds possibility.
From a first verse to a finished recording, the process can offer an opportunity to reflect and take pride in an original piece of work.
Partnership makes it possible.
MWP works alongside recovery centers, respecting the facility's clinical role while bringing dedicated creative expertise.
Creating Music. Inspiring Hope. Discovering Purpose.
A story can be more than something we survive. It can be something we create from.
Together with recovery facilities, we can give clients an encouraging creative outlet while respecting the clinical care and support already surrounding them.
